On Sunday 12th May at 12 noon we will have the "Annual Meeting of Parishioners" at which the Churchwardens are elected, followed by the "Annual Parochial Church Meeting", open to all lay people who are on the Blacklands Church Electoral Roll. The Annual Report may be accessed here: Annual Report
Owing to both Rosemary and sometimes David having commitments on Friday mornings we may not be able to have the 9:00 a.m., Morning Prayer every Friday. We will announce at other services and here on the “This Week” panel if Morning Prayer for the Friday is planned.
Guidance we had to follow during the corona virus emergency is here. The Church is still alive and active in our parish. We hope everyone will be able to join us for private prayer and devotion every morning and evening at home or wherever you happen to be. For formal prayers please follow the guidance available on the Church of England website or send an email message to David at Daily Prayers and get the daily prayers links sent to you directly.
Regular Sunday and Wednesday morning worship has restarted with a full programme of services. There is detailed guidance on the necessary steps we have to follow from the Ecclesiastical Insurance Group.

We are very pleased to announce that we have been awarded “Dementia Friendly Church” status by Dementia Friends and also that we are recognised officially now as an “Assistance Dog Welcome” Church by Assistance Dogs UK. We have a fully trained “Dementia Friend”, David Jones. David, through his work with Therapy Dogs, is fully qualified to support Guide Dogs, Hearing Dogs, Medical Detection Dogs and Canine Partners for Disabled.
The Parish has made real progress in the “Adopt-a-Street” Initiative for Hastings and St. Leonard’s. We have the third highest number of adoptions, after King’s Church and His Place, with more to come. There is a new section here where you may read a brief description and sign up to “Adopt-a-Street”.

The Holy Spirit Comes at Pentecost
When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues a as the Spirit enabled them.
